According to the French Poet, Victor Hugo, if music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent, then the trend in music related partnerships with luxury brands makes perfect sense.
More and more luxury brands are exploring deeper and more creative ways to integrate musicians and their music into the branding experience. From Daft Punk djing the SS 2008 Louis Vuitton show to Lady Gaga’s “The Fame” providing the soundtrack to Michael Kor’s Hollywood fragrance launch.
The popularity and cachet of a particular artist can not only assign new life and vitality to an existing brand, but it can also add a new layer of context and social relevance not otherwise achieved with the typical celebrity endorsement.
