Daily I am reminded of the power of the internet and social media. The two working in conjunction has accelerated the discovery process. This morning on my twitter feed (@JeyofMyUberLife) I received a new follower and in my diligent fashion, I read their bio and tweet timeline and discovered Matthew Woodson…
My timeline read, “Matthew Woodson has an Uncanny Ability to Illustrate Raw Human Emotion.” The call-to-action inspired me to ‘click’ and I was introduced to the images above. The internet has added so much value to our lives, and when put in a business or creative context, it can allow for serendipitous discovery.
Please enjoy the illustrations and feel free to share your thoughts! Posted by Jey Van-Sharp of MyUberLife
Bio on Matthew Woodson: Mr Woodson was born and raised in the rural Southern Midwest. After graduating from The School of The Art Institute of Chicago in early 2006, he has been working as a full-time illustrator ever since.
In his work he hopes to celebrate his obsessions of both human psychology and natural history, using archaic drawing and printing techniques and tools to describe a modern world.
His client list includes Bon Appetit Magazine, ESPN, The Folio Society, Image Comics, Ladies Home Journal, New York Magazine, The New York Times, Nike, Penthouse Magazine, Perry Ellis, Type Records, Ubisoft, Vertigo Comics, and continues to grow by the week.
